Being back home isn't all bad......a trip over the moors gave us some good views of Ring Ouzel (inc. some newly fledged birds), Whinchat, a Marsh Harrier fly-by near Blakey Ridge and we were treated to a magical display from Nightjar on the way home at Sutton Bank.
We had a tremendous time on the west coast of Scotland and didn't want to head back home especially with such wonderful weather but such is life. The road home was enjoyable considering, a Black Guillemot came to say goodbye and the scenery en route was lovely.
Managed to locate our first Marsh Fritillary when we visited Mull for a few hours and what a few hours - Golden Eagle, White-tailed Eagle, Hen Harrier, Great Northern Diver and Otter to name a few........magical place.
