Had a really good day out, travelled over from Swainby to Helmsley then onto the Hole of Horcum and Fen Bog then back via Goathland, Danby and home. The weather improved as the day went on and so did the sightings. Micks walk while I was horseriding was quiet compared to last week but later in the day we got two life sightings of butterflies - Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary at Hole of Horcum and Large Heath at Fen Bog. We also saw several Whinchat and a family of Lesser Redpoll at Fen Bog. Will definately be visiting Hole Of Horcum again as it is so impressive and brilliant for a lovely walk.
