Green Woodpecker

Had to go out again tonight as the weather was supberb. Caught up with a Green Woodpecker on Osmotherly Moor, excellent views on the ground. Also saw a Jay and as we passed a tree whilst having a walk we could hear lots of tweeting. As I looked into a hole in the tree I could see three little blue tits looking up at me - so cute. Stepped away and waited and got good views of both parents going backwards and forwards to feed them.
