27/5/16 - The Road to Iona.

Late post again!! So much for keeping the Blog up-to-date. Anyway hear goes:- Off to Iona and the Morvern area for a bit of a holiday. The weather was outstanding and the wildlife was brilliant. First stop was the Corran Ferry, the Black Guillemots were in residence and a pair was actually taking a ride on the ferry.

Look carefully and you can see 2 Black Guillemots getting a lift on the ferry!!
Rock Pipits were also plentiful.

We were very pleased to find this Black-throated Diver close inshore.
This Swallow was nest building at Pennygael Stores on Mull
Wheatear were common place around Fionphort

.The trip across to Iona was beautiful as always.
Nice little cruise ship parked in the sound!!
Nice to catch up with the island Twite.
Typical Corncrake picture - try again tomorrow.
