Grayling Butterflies at Dormans Pool

Grayling

Grayling - Well camouflaged!

We went for a run out this evening down to Dormans Pool near RSPB Saltholme. The sun appeared as we parked up and the butterflies started to fly (8pm). There were ringlets and meadow browns and as we walked down the track we saw at least 4 possibly 5 Grayling sunning themselves on the rocks and feeding on the flowers. Our first sighting of Grayling North of the River Tees.
